#1: Winter coats

With warm weather is on its way, now is a perfect time to shed your winter coat and donate it to Ohio Valley Goodwill! Donating is a great way to give your gently used coat a new life and recycle responsibly.

#2: Sweaters

Spring cleaning your closet is exciting because it means you can get bulky winter sweaters out of the way and make space for fun, colorful spring clothing. As you sort through your winter clothing and put things into storage, take some time to evaluate which items you want to wear next winter. If you’ve acquired a stockpile of sweaters, consider donating a few to Goodwill. You’ll free up more real estate on your shelves or in your closet and make room for the new season’s items.

#3: Books

Are your bookshelves overflowing? Get organized by donating your pre-loved books to Goodwill! When you donate your books, you spread the joy of reading, giving others the opportunity to discover a book they love.

#4: Games and toys

As you spring clean your home, you may come across games, toys, and sports equipment that your family no longer uses. As long as you have all the parts and pieces, consider donating these items to Goodwill. We gladly accept donations of gently used dolls and action figures, blocks, board games, puzzles, balls and sporting equipment that are in good condition.

#5: Housewares

Do you have extra household items, such as dishes, cooking utensils, or small appliances? Don’t throw them away ““  donate them to Goodwill! As you spring clean your home, designate a box for the items you plan to donate. You might be surprised to see how many items end up in the box by the time you’re finished spring cleaning!
