Team Goodwill Takes Flight with the Flying Pig and “Kiss Clutter Goodbye” Donation Drive Continues!

Flying Pig Marathon LogoHard to believe but yes, it is time for the annual Flying Pig Marathon and Ohio Valley Goodwill is ready to take flight! For the second year in a row, Ohio Valley Goodwill is planning to be part of the two day Expo which is the kick-off for this year’s world-renown Flying Pig Marathon. Taking place on Friday, April 29th and Saturday, April 30th at the Duke Energy Center, Team Goodwill is excited to debut its new and improved “Goodwill Pig Pop-Up Shop,” with all items on sale for only $3.00!

With a full-length mirror and wider aisles to help improve the shopper experience in conjunction with unbeatable prices, the Goodwill Pig Pop-Up Shop is sure to be voted Most Popular again. This year, at the request of the Flying Pig team, Goodwill will be helping to recycle those worn out running shoes with donation barrels on prominent display next to the Pig Pop-Up Shop. We Need Your SolesThe “Goodwill Pig Pop-Up Shop” (Booth # 461) will be open from 12 noon- 7:00 pm on Friday, April 29th and on Saturday, April 30th from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm. The Container Store ®, the nation’s leading retailer of storage and organization products, is teaming up with Goodwill Industries ® to help customers Kiss Clutter Goodbye. From March 28-May 15, The Container Store is encouraging customers to declutter, donate and do life organized. The spring campaign includes two Kiss Clutter Goodbye Weekend Events at The Container Store’s locations nationwide where customers can donate items, attend demonstrations and win, as well as a monetary donation initiative in partnership with Goodwill through the end of the campaign.
The Kiss Clutter spring campaign continues through May 15th but this weekend offers the opportunity to enjoy in-store demonstrations from noon to 4 p.m. of some of the retailer’s favorite decluttering solutions and techniques, and appearances by expert guests and its Contained Home professional organizers. Ohio Valley Goodwill’s donation team will also be on hand to gratefully accept donations during this weekend’s Kiss Clutter Goodbye event.
