This Sunday, June 1, Turfway Park in Florence, KY will host a garage sale of epic proportions. The event, dubbed Chris Carr & Company’s World’s Largest Garage Sale, will begin at 7am and run through 1pm. This event is the first of its kind and will feature only real people (not vendors) putting their treasures up for sale in a single massive event.
Tickets cost $5 between 8am and 1pm, but precocious pickers can get in at 7am with a $10 early bird ticket.
The 2014 Chris Carr & Company’s World’s Largest Garage Sale is the brainchild of B-105.1FM and a collaboration with Ohio Valley Goodwill. The Goodwill team will be on-site Sunday to haul away any unsold goods that the garage salespeople don’t want to haul back home. This event has all the makings of a fantastic outing; it’s a treasure hunt, a donation drive and recycling event all rolled into one. Remember, re-using a product is the greenest form of recycling! That’s just one more great reason to consider shopping at and donating to Goodwill throughout the year.
For more information on the Garage Sale, visit B-105.1FM online. We hope you will come out, browse the wares and support the most local economy of all — your local garage sale. If you are considering a garage sale of your own, but can’t get everything to take part on Sunday, consider donating to Ohio Valley Goodwill. We save you an afternoon of haggling, plus you may still earn a tax advantage for the items you donate.
