Ohio Valley Goodwill’s Public Information Officer, Michael Flannery, was pleased to be interviewed by Local 12 reporter, Clancy Burke, on Tuesday, November 12th at the Local 12 Job Fair in partnership with Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services (HCDDS). For more than a century, Ohio Valley Goodwill’s mission has been to help people with disabilities and our nation’s veterans to go to work in the Greater Cincinnati community. The organization has worked in partnership with Hamilton County DD Services in providing job training, social integration and employment services to individuals with developmental disabilities for the past thirty years and also, works collaboratively with three other County Boards of DD on the same mission (Butler, Clermont and Warren). Goodwill also has a long-standing partnership with Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities; an agency who sponsors and supports employment and career development for people with disabilities. Ohio Valley Goodwill’s team was happy to be part of the Local 12 Job Fair and thanks Local 12 and Hamilton County DD Services for making the 2019 event possible. The event was designed to promote inclusive hiring practices by local employers to encourage the consideration of employees with disabilities- a vastly undervalued workforce.
