Ohio Valley Goodwill is delighted to be the host location for the 2013 Transition Boot Camp event being held on Saturday, February 9th from 1-4 pm in the organization’s corporate headquarters Auditorium. Located centrally at 10600 Springfield Pike in the village of Woodlawn, Goodwill is conveniently close to both I-75 and 275 and just 3 miles South of the Tri-County Mall. This year’s Boot Camp is a collaborative event sponsored by the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, the Spina Bifida Association of Cincinnati, Stepping Stones Center and United Cerebral Palsy in partnership with Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries. The Transition Boot Camp event was initially presented in 2012 and was such a success that the partner agencies wanted to make sure the training was available to interested families again in the New Year. The Transition Boot Camp event is designed to provide vital information to families of students with disabilities about options that are available to individuals following graduation from high school. This year’s event will include a series of presentations regarding service options, eligibility and funding as well as a Provider Fair during which attendees can speak directly to agency representatives about available services.
