Ohio Valley Goodwill’s Donation team joined dozens of other community organizations for the 10th Annual Hamilton County Recycling and Solid Waste District’s Recycling Awards Ceremony on the morning of November 13th. Held at the Winton Woods Mill Race Banquet Center, Goodwill was honored to be included in the list of award recipients which featured cities, schools and employers that champion recycling efforts.

Selected for recognition for “Excellence in Reuse,” Goodwill was singled out for its recycling efforts which divert more than 43 million pounds of donated items from area landfills annually. In addition, Goodwill was praised for its almost 100 year history of reuse in taking donated items and selling them to support the organization’s mission of putting people with disabilities and our nation’s veterans to work in the community. More than 3100 people were helped with training and employment services in the past year through Goodwill’s efforts.

“We are very pleased that Hamilton County Recycling selected Ohio Valley Goodwill for this honor,” said Jeff Eastham, Operations Team Supervisor. For a list of 29 conveniently located Attended Donation Center locations in Greater Cincinnati, please visit www.cincinnatigoodwill.org/donate.
