Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries was excited to be recognized by the Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities (CCBDD) at their “Good Fortune” Recognition Dinner on the evening of Tuesday, October 22, 2013. More than 150 individuals attended the recognition dinner including staff from Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries. The recognition dinner was held at Eastgate Receptions as a way to honor the many individuals from the local community who donate countless hours to the agency each year . Recognition awards were given in several categories including: providers, advocates, self advocates, employees, foster parents, volunteers, friends of DD, business partners and community leaders. Ohio Valley Goodwill was thrilled to be recognized as Business Partner of the Year. In recognizing Ohio Valley Goodwill for the award, Clermont County Board of DD mentioned that it was honoring Goodwill, “In grateful recognition of it’s commitment to providing a positive work environment for individuals with disabilities.” Ohio Valley Goodwill has been operating a program for adults with disabilities for over three years in Clermont County. In accepting the award Goodwill President and CEO, Joe Byrum commented that “We are so pleased that Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities has recognized our organization for the work that we do in the Clermont County area and the partnership that we have created with their organization.
