Cincinnati, OH ·· May 23, 2016 ··This Thursday, May 26th at 9 am will mark the official Grand Opening and ribbon-cutting for Ohio Valley Goodwill’s newest retail store in Oxford, Ohio; very close to Miami University. Located at 203 S. Locust Street, the almost 11,000 square feet store features a retail store and convenient drive-thru donation center. The store actually opened for business on May 5th and has been well received by the local community.
The contemporary new store features a convenient drive-thru donation area, large dressing rooms, wide aisles and a fun atmosphere all designed to make for an enjoyable shopping experience. The official Grand Opening ribbon cutting ceremony will take place promptly at 9 am on Thursday, May 26th and City of Oxford officials will be attendance. Following the ribbon-cutting event, the store will immediately open for customers who will enjoy complimentary donuts and coffee in the morning and pizza in the afternoon.
The Oxford Goodwill store represents the 17th retail store in the organization’s network of retail locations and 32 nd drive thru donation centers. Ten full-time employees will be employed at the Oxford store.
The Grand Opening of the Oxford store location is especially momentous as it takes place during the 100th anniversary celebration of Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries this year. For the past century, Goodwill has been helping people with disabilities and our nation’s veterans to receive skill training and employment in the Greater Cincinnati community as well as Butler County. The organization recently received its fifth consecutive perfect survey outcome from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), which reflects the “Gold” standard in excellence for agencies like Ohio Valley Goodwill.
Last year, Ohio Valley Goodwill served more than 3500 people and helped 919 to get jobs in the community. Revenues generated through Goodwill’s network of 17 retail stores helps to support this vital mission of service. Ohio Valley Goodwill is pleased to be joining the Oxford business community and looks forward to an exciting Grand Opening celebration on May 26th . All interested parties are cordially invited to attend.
