Ohio Valley Goodwill Launches Spring “Celebrate You” Campaign As Shoppers and Donors Return!

Following more than eight weeks of the closure of its 18 stores and 29 Attended Donation Centers in the Greater Cincinnati area in response to COVID-19, Ohio Valley Goodwill was elated to have the opportunity to celebrate returning shoppers and donors on Tuesday, May 12th. The organization is re-opening its retail stores and other business lines in accordance with a phased plan which began with the re-opening of the Beechmont, Fairfield, Loveland and Tri-County locations on May 12th. The re-opening events also mark the beginning of the organization’s “Celebrate You” campaign which is designed to thank shoppers for their support during this very difficult time. Goodwill’s network of retail stores were freshly cleaned in preparation for the big day and Managers and team leaders were in wonderful spirits as shoppers took advantage of a beautiful Spring day to come out and shop. Many donors had dedicated their energy during the mandated Stay at Home time towards cleaning out and organizing their houses, so it was also a busy donation day for Goodwill’s donation sites.

The schedule of Retail Re-Openings continues in May in the following order:

  • May 14- Cheviot, Harrison, Lebanon, West Chester, 10 am-6 pm
  • May 16- Hamilton, Oakley, Oxford, Batesville, 10 am- 6 pm
  • May 20- Bellevue, Independence, Florence Kentucky and Outlet store 10 am- 6 pm
  • Boutique stores are still to be announced.
  • Senior Shopping Hours on Mondays from 9-10 am at all locations

“As a non-profit who has been a fixture of this community for more than a century, we really missed our wonderful customers, donors and friends during the past several weeks,” said President and CEO, Joe Byrum. “We rely so much on the generous support we receive through our stores and donation centers in order to provide employment and training programs for people with disabilities and our nation’s veterans. Our mission is even more critical than ever as so many people have lost their jobs and need help to get back on their feet. We thank you for your patronage and recognition of the importance of our mission at this time especially.”Bring Good Home Infographic.
