Ohio Valley Goodwill Hosts Annual Electronics Recycling Celebration!

Cincinnati, OH ∙∙ April 15, 2015 ∙∙ Ohio Valley Goodwill is excited to announce that the organization is hosting its second-annual “Goodwill Earth Day Electronics Recycling Celebration” on Sunday, April 26th from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm at all of its 29 Attended Donation Center locations in Greater Cincinnati. Interested donors can go to www.cincinnatigoodwill.org/donate to locate a convenient donation location.

Ohio Valley Goodwill is working in partnership with Goodwill recycling vendor, Global Environmental Services (GES), and the organization looks forward to the event which will offer Greater Cincinnati residents the opportunity to drop off unwanted computers and other electronic items FREE of charge and also, to recycle responsibly. Goodwill is actually very committed to environmental stewardship and as such helps to recycle more than 45,000,000 lbs. of donated items every year diverting them from area landfills.

Ohio Valley Goodwill’s recent partnership with GES has provided the opportunity to co-sponsor a recycling event that would promote not only “Green living” practices but also, help to promote Goodwill’s commitment to responsible recycling and build awareness of how donors can support that cause. The best part is it’s very easy! Just load your old computer and unwanted electronic equipment in a box and bring it to any Goodwill location on Sunday, April 26 th from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm. Donors will receive a very sincere “Thank You” and upon request, a receipt for their generous donation.

Ohio Valley Goodwill provides skill training, employment and personal enrichment programs for individuals with disabilities, our nation’s veterans and at-risk youth. Each year, Goodwill serves more than 3,400 people and last year (2014) helped 913 get jobs in the Greater Cincinnati community. It is donations to Ohio Valley Goodwill that has made this mission of service possible for the past almost 100 years.

Goodwill looks forward to the second annual “Goodwill Earth Day Electronics Recycling Celebration” on Sunday, April 26th from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm. For directions, please visit www.cincinnatigoodwill.org/donate.
