Ohio Valley Goodwill Helps to Promote Recycling at Metro Event!

Ohio Valley Goodwill was pleased to be asked to participate in the 2017 Metro Recycling Educational events taking place on February 21st and 22nd at Metro’s Queensgate and Paddock Road locations. The two day event was designed to provide information about responsible recycling for Metro drivers and team members.

Goodwill provided the organization’s Community Donation trailer for the two day event as well as Marketing Manager, Sharon Hannon, to present information about the agency’s commitment to environmental preservation. “Goodwill is very pleased to have the opportunity to share information about our recycling efforts which diverts more than 49,000,000 lbs. of donated items from area landfills each year,” explained Hannon.

2017 represents the first time that Ohio Valley Goodwill has been asked to be part of the Metro Recycling Outreach event and the organization looks forward to future participation in similar educational initiatives.
