Ohio Valley Goodwill Announces Staff Promotions

Ohio Valley Goodwill is pleased to announce two recent staff promotions for Mark Leugers and Travis Smith from the Employment Services Department.

Mark Leugers

Mark Leugers joined the organization in 2016 as an Employment Specialist and in 2018 became the Manager of Employment Services. Mark and his Employment Services team earned the Inclusion Award from referral source and partner, Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities in 2021 in response to their exemplary efforts to help individuals to regain employment following the unprecedented impact of COVID lay-offs.

Mark will now be in the role of Industrial Services Manager and will be supervising the Industrial Services staff team and onsite work training initiatives as well as community development opportunities. Mark will be working collaboratively with Goodwill’s Industrial Services Director, Todd Schreiber, and looks forward to expanding Goodwill’s work opportunities and client list. ” I am excited to get started in my new role and working with Greater Cincinnati employers to introduce Goodwill’s capabilities to address their fulfillment needs,” said Mark Leugers.

Travis Smith is moving into the role of Day Services Department Manager which oversees both the Pre-Vocational programs that Goodwill offers as well as its award-winning Center for Advocacy, Recreation and Education program. Travis began his career at Goodwill as a Recreation and Leisure Coach in 2011 and quickly became a Tech Coordinator and Case Manager in the organization’s Pre-Vocational program. In 2018, Travis became the Community Supports Supervisor which oversees Job Coaching and Summer Youth services.

Travis Smith

In his new role, Travis will be able to dedicate his knowledge of Employment Services as well as Day Services in working to enhance Goodwill’s commitment to community integration and inclusion for individuals served in the future. ” I am very much looking forward to this new role and helping to grow the service options and opportunities Goodwill is able to offer to the individuals we serve.”

Longtime Employment Services Asst. Director and current Rehabilitation Services Director, Chelsea Ashcraft noted that both Mark and Travis are very accomplished and will bring skill and dedication to their new roles.
