"Goodwill Team Recognized at 2013 Butler County Board of DD Community Dinner!"

L to R: Mike Sweetin and Michael Goforth, “The Mike & Mike Show”

Ohio Valley Goodwill was delighted to have two of its own recognized during the 2013 Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities Community Recognition dinner held on Sunday, March 3rd. Michael Goforth and Mike Sweetin, supervisors at the organization’s Fairfield Vocational Services Center, were both recognized for their outstanding efforts in supporting and empowering individuals served through their program. Known affectionately as the “Mike & Mike” show by everyone involved with the Goodwill program, the pair were nominated for recognition by enthusiastic parents of individuals served by the Fairfield vocational center. “We are honored to be recognized by the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities during this important annual event,” commented Michael Goforth. “We love what we do and the individuals and families we work with,” added Mike Sweetin. The theme of this year’s awards dinner, “Because of Your Support…” was designed to emphasize the importance of community partnerships in enriching the lives of the people served by the Board. The more than 400 guests in attendance enjoyed the debut of this year’s inspiring video presentation featuring Jonathan McDowell, advocate and media personality. Ohio Valley Goodwill has worked in partnership with the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities for a number of years in serving hundreds of individuals through both its Vocational Services Center as well as its Community Access program. Goodwill congratulates Mike & Mike on their 2013 Community Recognition by the Butler County Board of DD.
