Goodwill Hosts Quarterly Woodlawn Chamber Luncheon Meeting

Ohio Valley Goodwill was pleased to serve as the host location for the quarterly luncheon meeting of the Woodlawn Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, September 18th. Members and guests attended the lunchtime meeting which featured a presentation by Tim Shepelak, CEO of The Growth Coach whose topic was entitled: “A Strategic Timeout – Top 10 Focus Areas to Improve Your Business.” During the presentation, Tim shared his perspectives with the group on the value of focusing on how to grow your business, communicate the company’s mission and vision, and how to set clear expectations and hold people accountable. Tim also spoke about the importance of improving company culture so that individuals are more keenly aware of where the organization is going in the future, prioritizing goals, and setting clear

and achievable objectives. Overall, Tim stressed that business goals and objectives play an important role in improving personal actions and behaviors. Tim’s strategies are based upon his ten years of coaching and corporate experience as a CEO and he has developed his “Top 10 Focus Areas for Business Improvement” from his work with business clients.

Ohio Valley Goodwill is pleased to have been the host location for the chamber event. Goodwill’s Director of PR and Marketing, George Palmer has served on the Board of Directors for the Woodlawn Chamber of Commerce for the past five years and has been active in planning programs and events for the chamber.
