Goodwill Excited to Celebrate 25th Anniversary of the Flying Pig and PigAbilities 2023!
As we all look forward to Spring, 2023 will mark a significant year in Cincinnati history. This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon and Ohio Valley Goodwill has been along for the ride throughout the Marathon’s history. In the year 2000, Goodwill participated in the Relay aspect of the new event as a fund-raiser for the organization. For many years, Team Goodwill participated in the Hope and Possibility event which was a pre-courser to the now, PigAbilities event, for which Goodwill is the Title Sponsor. PigAbilities is designed to be an event which is fully accessible and welcoming to athletes of all abilities. 2023 will mark the 7th year Ohio Valley Goodwill has been the Title Sponsor of the PigAbilities event and already, Team Goodwill is planning their Spring training in preparation for the big day. Taking place the weekend of May 5th-7th this year, the PigAbilities event will welcome athletes on Saturday, May 6th at 12 noon. PigAbilities represents the culmination of training efforts for months prior to the event during which athletes learn about good nutrition, fitness and preparing for the big event.

We look forward to welcoming a record-setting number of athletes this year to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Pig,” said Hannon.
Since the beginning of the New Year, Goodwill along with Pig Works, Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services and Paycor have been working together to try to get the word out about PigAbilities and ensure that all interested athletes have the ability to participate.
Goodwill will also be presenting its popular Pig Pop Up Shop on Friday, May 5th and Saturday, May 6th as a featured exhibitor during the Flying Pig Marathon Expo at the Duke Energy Center.
