Goodwill Celebrates the Success of the 2019 Queen Bee Half Marathon and Expo!

The weekend of October of 11th and 12th were a beehive of activity for Ohio Valley Goodwill and its team as they presented the 2019 Bee-Tique as part of the Queen Bee Half Marathon and Expo in downtown Cincinnati. This year, for the first time, the Queen Bee Expo took place alongside the Wellness Your Way Festival at the Duke Energy Center and was highlighted by a concert by Jewel on Friday evening. The Goodwill Bee-Tique was as always was a popular destination for runners as they stopped by to check out the latest in athleisure fashion at unbeatable prices. This year was also noteworthy as Goodwill’s CARE program participants stopped by to help out at the Goodwill Photo Booth- much to the delight of   Queen Bee attendees. The Goodwill Photo Booth also served as a backdrop for the Channel 19 reporter who stopped to do her newscast about the Expo from the event. The day-long Expo was headlined by Jewel at the end of the day who performed an hour long concert for excited Expo attendees. Jewel in partnership with the Kroger Company presented the Wellness Expo which focused on physical, emotional and mental health and included free give-aways to elevate self and body. Friday’s spectacular events were followed by the Queen Bee Half Marathon and 4 Miler on Saturday morning and Ohio Valley Goodwill was once again, part of all of the action as the 2019 Race and Post-Event Celebration took place. Goodwill is the official Donation Sponsor for this part of the event and presents a luxurious spa pampering to a lucky recipient who enters for a chance to win the basket. The announcement is made on the main stage and is always a highlight of the post-race celebration. Ohio Valley Goodwill is pleased to have been a Royal Sponsor of the Queen Bee Half Marathon and Expo which is dedicated to the empowerment of women in the Greater Cincinnati community.
