"CAC Sponsors Bake Sale in Support of the MR/DD Levy!"

Ohio Valley Goodwill’s Tri-County store was the place to be on Thursday, October 8th as Goodwill’s Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC) sponsored its 2009 Bake Sale in support of the Hamilton County MR/DD Services Levy. CAC members took turns working during the day-long event, which featured home-made baked goods provided by Goodwill’s volunteer organization, the Guild.

Goodwill’s Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC) was established in 1993 and was created as an advocacy group where members could learn to speak up for themselves as well as other individuals with disabilities. The group has always been extremely active both within the Goodwill organization as well as in its community outreach efforts.

” The group worked very hard to organize the bake sale in support of the MR/DD Levy effort,” said Erin Hill, CAC Co-Advisor.
