5 Stay-At-Home Ideas for Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching “” do you have plans? While this year’s celebrations will be a little different, there are many ways to enjoy Valentine’s Day in the comfort of home! Whether you’re spending February 14th with your significant other or your best friends, here are some ideas to make your Valentine’s Day extra fun:

#1: Have a bake-off

Valentine’s Day is all about sweets, from chocolate-covered strawberries to red velvet cake! All these delicious treats taste even better when you make them by scratch, so why not plan a Valentine’s Day bake-off challenge?

All you need to do is gather up your ingredients and try a new recipe or two. You can make different desserts and have a taste-test with those in your household, or make it a virtual bake-off and judge one another’s baked goods based on their appearance! Here’s a hint: if you need affordable baking equipment like cookie sheets, muffin tins, utensils, cake stands, or even an apron, stop by your local Goodwill store before buying brand-new. You never know what amazing kitchen items you might find at Goodwill!

#2: Create an at-home spa

Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to treat yourself to a relaxing spa day. First, cozy up in a comfortable robe or pair of pajamas. (Goodwill has lots of options!) Then, light some candles and turn on soothing music to create a spa-like atmosphere. Treat yourself to a luxurious face mask, at-home manicure, or even a foot soak and massage””whatever feels best. #3: Plan a board game night

There’s no doubt that games are fun, but they’re also a great way to strengthen your relationship. On Valentine’s Day, grab a deck of cards, put together a puzzle, or check out a board game from your local Goodwill store. Game on!

If you’re tired of scrolling through streaming services in search of something to watch, shop at Goodwill for unique DVDs. It doesn’t have to be a romantic movie, either! Because Goodwill has an ever-changing selection of movies in our retail stores and outlets, you might find a familiar favorite or something totally new to watch. Complete your movie night with classic movie snacks like popcorn, soda, and boxed candy.

You don’t need to be in a relationship to take part in all the fun of Valentine’s Day! February 13th, otherwise known as ” Galentine’s Day,” is the perfect excuse to get together with your besties and celebrate in style, even if it has to be virtual. One way to make video chatting a little more fun is by dressing up. You can shop at Goodwill for unique and even silly attire to make video calls more interesting! Challenge your friends to find the best outfit, and be sure to share photos.
