"Ohio Valley Goodwill Exhibitor for Fall School Outreach Events!"

Ohio Valley Goodwill was delighted to have the opportunity to talk with families, students and teachers during a series of Fall outreach events at area schools. Both LaKota as well as Woodward High School hosted community outreach events recently, designed to provide families and students preparing to move from the world of school to work with an dsc03255-_medium.jpg
array of options following graduation. Goodwill representatives shared information about the organization’s skill training and employment services as well as related programs during the school events.

Ohio Valley Goodwill has been  helping students, teachers and families with planning for transition for many years and has a host of programs and services that are popular with graduating seniors. Among its many offerings, Goodwill can provide Work Evaluation services which allows a student to find out more about their skills and abilities as well as possible suggestions for future vocational direction;  Skill Training in Food Services, Janitorial as well as  Computer Technology; Job Placement and Coaching support to help individuals to find jobs; as well as programs designed  to provide  initial work  skill training as well as more social and  recreational  options.    Goodwill’s various programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and have received more than 50 local, regional and national awards for the quality of its services as well as staff team. The Fall season marks the beginning of Goodwill’s involvement and on-going support of many community events directed towards reaching out to young adults, families and interested professionals regarding the diverse options that the organization can provide to help individuals experience personal success.
