For more than 100 years, Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries has been a vital member of the Greater Cincinnati community helping put people to work. Our organization is in the community.
As an award-winning employment and training center over the past century, Ohio Valley Goodwill takes great pride in the thousands of people who have achieved personal success through the support of the organization’s services. As a long time member of the Greater Cincinnati business community, Goodwill celebrates each time one of the individuals with developmental disabilities or one of the veterans we serve leaves to go work somewhere else and chooses to take another job. Almost one thousand people are assisted in finding jobs each year through Goodwill’s Employment Services and Special Projects team members. Our featured Employment Success story this month, Mr. Joe Greer, shares his own personal story of employment success here. Helping people to achieve personal success is our goal!
Through our award-winning Center for Advocacy, Recreation and Education (CARE) program, participants go to lunch, to the movies, to the mall, or to a museum. With four to five daily outings scheduled through the CARE programs, individuals are actively engaged in the Greater Cincinnati community. In addition, Goodwill’s appropriately named, Community Access program, offers the opportunity to participate in activities of choice throughout the Greater Cincinnati community. Goodwill offers needed supports including transportation, coordination and related assistance to ensure that individuals are fully involved in their chosen experiences.
