The First-Ever Queen Bee Half Marathon is this Weekend and Goodwill is Buzzing with Excitement!

The first-ever Queen Bee Half Marathon is taking place this Friday, October 10th and Saturday, October 11th and Team Goodwill couldn’t be more excited! Goodwill team members are abuzz about all the plans for this year’s premiere event which features an Expo on Friday, October 10th at the Horseshoe Casino from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm; a Fashion Show on Fountain Square in partnership with CincyChic Magazine starring Goodwill’s own Leslie McCurley and Stephanie Mitchell; and finally the Queen Bee Race on Saturday, October 11th and Post-Event Party! Ohio Valley Goodwill will be involved in every aspect of this year’s event including a two-day donation drive which allows race participants to de-clutter and recycle responsibly; helping race participants to create their best “selfies” ever at the Race photo booths with accessories provided by Goodwill; and as exhibitors at the Expo and Post Race Party and even, as race participants.

“We couldn’t ‘bee’ more thrilled about the upcoming race,” said Sharon Hannon, Marketing Specialist. “Our Goodwill team members are just so looking forward to being part of this first-ever Queen City event in partnership with the Flying Pig Marathon. Goodwill will be front and center in next weekend’s festivities and working hard to help make all of the participants feel beautiful and valued,” added Hannon.

All generous donors at next weekend’s Queen Bee event will receive a chance to win a luxurious Spa Pampering Basket featuring a services gift certificate from Christopher Marcus Salon in Hyde Park Square. The lucky winner will be drawn at the Post Race Party but does not have to “bee” present to win.
