20th Anniversary of Goodwill Celebrity Golf Outing Celebrated with Lots of Good Friends!

  The morning of Thursday, June 3rd marked the official occasion of the very special 20th anniversary celebration of the Goodwill Celebrity Golf Outing.   With 200 excited golfers, celebrities, volunteers and friends all gathered to mark the big day. Last year’s event had to be cancelled in response to COVID-19, so this year’s event was a family reunion of sorts. Despite the threat of bad weather, the sun came out long enough to tee off and added the positive energy needed for the milestone event.   Held at the beautiful Glenview Golf Club,   this year, David Fulcher, served as Celebrity Host along with Co-Chair Stephanie Mitchell to get the exciting day started. The traditional Celebrity Host for the annual event, Joe Walter, was unable to attend this year and Fulcher, a regular celebrity guest, was kind enough to help out.   The Celebrity Golf Outing is the single fund-raising special event which the organization hosts each year and Goodwill is very grateful for the long-time support of its partners and friends.

Joe Byrum, Goodwill President and CEO welcomed the group along with David Fulcher, 2021 MC and both acknowledged the historic significance of celebrating 20 years of the Goodwill Golf Outing. Title Sponsor, Strategic Benefits along with Presenting Sponsors, First Financial Bank and TPC Packaging Solutions were singled out for recognition prior to the start of this year’s event.   Co-Chair Stephanie Mitchell joined Fulcher in welcoming everyone to the outing and said ” Thank you for coming. I am so happy to have been the Co-Chair of the Goodwill Golf Outing for the past 10 years,” said Stephanie.   She was also a celebrity guest on Facebook Live at 1 pm with Co-Hosts Alisha and Sharon. After the welcoming remarks,   all 200 golfers took off in their carts listening to cheers from the enthusiastic CARE (Center for Advocacy, Recreation and Education) ambassadors. The CARE volunteers have been a major part of the annual event for more than 10 years and are eagerly looked forward to by all of the players at the annual event. Ohio Valley Goodwill is also pleased to welcome back the Hole-in-One volunteers from Hamilton County DD Services.
