Laurie Tackett 1 2016Laurie Tackett works at Ohio Valley Goodwill’s Beechmont store location. She has worked there for more than four years and “likes everything about it,” according to Laurie. Sponsored by Goodwill partner, Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Laurie works on maintaining inventory as well as providing customer service to the store’s shoppers.

As part of her daily work routine, Laurie puts clothing on hangers for display, attaches price tags to garments and does some stocking of store shelves. One of her favorite parts of working at the Beechmont store is helping customers out when they have questions. “I really like helping people and making sure they find what they want,” said Laurie.

Laurie works at the Beechmont store Monday through Friday and enjoys working with her Goodwill East Vocational Center supervisor, Cindy Stutler. “Cindy is my favorite,” said Laurie.

When Laurie isn’t working, she enjoys going to the Belterra Casino, playing Bingo and going out to eat. She also enjoys using her paychecks to go shopping.

Ohio Valley Goodwill congratulates Laurie on her hard work at the Beechmont store and is grateful for her willingness to share her story. At Goodwill, helping people go to work and become fully included in their communities has been the organization’s mission for the past 100 years.
