"Think Pink Theme for 2010 Friends of Citizens Fund-Raiser!"

L to R: State Representative Bill Coley, BCBDD Superintendent Christine Hurr, Connie Mehlman, Event Coordinator, BCBDD and Carolyn Coley, Hostess.

” Think Pink” was the theme for the May 15th wine tasting event held in support of Friends of Citizens with Disabilities; a fund-raiser to benefit individuals served by the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Held at the home of State Representative Bill Coley and his wife Carolyn, the party kicked off the first of a series of fund-raising events that will be held over the next year in support of the Board’s upcoming levy campaign. Ohio Valley Goodwill partners with the Butler County Board on providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Goodwill’s Marketing Specialist, Sharon Hannon, attended the  party which featured an assortment of rosé wines paired with appropriate appetizers.

The Pink Panther-themed wine-tasting was planned and coordinated by BCBDD staff member Connie Mehlman working in partnership with hostess Carolyn Coley. Held at the Coley home, the memorable party featured five different wine-tasting stations and welcomed guests into a candle-lit, art-filled setting with a pianist on hand to provide musical ambiance. ” We are so grateful to the Coleys for their generous hospitality and support of the individuals served through the Butler County Board of DD,” said Connie Mehlman, event coordinator.
