Spring Welcomes Community Donation Opportunities!
Goodwill is getting ready for a host of community donation drives taking place on April 25th, April 26th and finally on June 17th. The WGRR Yard Sale is taking place at Riverbend on Saturday April 25th; the 2nd annual Earth Day Electronics Donation Drive on Sunday, April 26th and the new ” Purses 4 a Purpose” event is scheduled for June 17th which will benefit the Aubrey Rose Foundation as well as Ohio Valley Goodwill.
On Sunday, April 26th, for the second year in a row, Ohio Valley Goodwill will be hosting an Earth Day Electronic Recycling Celebration. From 11am until 5pm, donations of computers, laptops, keyboards, monitors and other electronic equipment will be gratefully accepted at ALL 29 Goodwill Donation locations!
Working in partnership with Global Environmental Services (GES); an e-steward certified recycling vendor; Goodwill is hoping to collect 60,000 lbs. of donations in this year’s drive.
The new Purses 4 a Purpose event will take place on Wednesday, June 17th at Covington Catholic High School and Ohio Valley Goodwill is excited to not only support the Aubrey Rose Foundation but to host a community donation drive during the event that evening. Some of the purses on display that evening will include designer bags found at our Goodwill boutiques.
