Vocational Assessment Services

Our mission is to assist you in identifying your vocational strengths and interests, as well as possible supports you may need in order to successfully plan an individual career path that takes full advantage of your talents and interests. Our services can be tailored to your specific needs and can be provided either at our Cincinnati facility in the suburb of Woodlawn, or within community business sites.

Assessment services include the following:

  • Facility Based Assessments Includes interest testing, academic testing and various situational assessments. These situational assessments are available at our Woodlawn location and include, but are not limited to working in a retail store environment, food service, janitorial, production and loading dock. In addition, individuals are paid for the work they perform.
  • Community Based Assessments This form of assessment takes place in community work sites that are tailored to fit your area of interest. We work with numerous community businesses to provide a variety of possibilities. That list of businesses is every growing as we are active in seeking new opportunities that may fit your interests. Working with a professional staff at your work site will provide you the opportunity to get real hands on experience as well as one on one support.
  • Transferable Skills Analysis Assesses the skills you already possess and matches those skills with potential occupations in the local labor market.
  • Mobile Evaluations Assessments using standardized tests, such as aptitude and interest tests, that are carried out at a location in the community that may be more convenient for you than our Cincinnati facility.

These assessment services, and more, are available in order to help you to clearly plan the next step in the pursuit of your desired career. The Vocational Assessment staff work with individuals who are sponsored by the following agencies: Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission, Bureau of Worker's Compensation, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Division and the VRP3/Pathways Projects as well as various other funding sources..

If you wish to speak with us about how we might help you reach your vocational goals, or how you might obtain funding for our services, please feel free to contact Kelly Manns, Asst. Director of Employment and Training, at (513) 771-4800 ext. 6214, or Rodney Epperson, Work Evaluation Supervisor ext. 6220 or via e-mail at kmanns@cincigoodwill.org or repperson@cincigoodwill.org
