"I started Goodwill in 2006. Before I started at Goodwill, I didn’t really know what direction I was taking in my life. My Service Facilitator talked me into coming to Goodwill to find out about job placement in the community. Goodwill has helped me accomplish a lot of the goals that I have set for myself. It has helped me mature a lot as a person. I have seen myself grow as an advocate and as a person since I’ve been here. Goodwill has helped me recognize how important it is to be an advocate for other people with disabilities.

I’ve been a member of Goodwill’s Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC) as an officer for the past 3 years. Now I’ve moved on to the county level of advocacy and joined Leaders In Action and the Advocacy Leadership Network of Hamilton County. I would highly recommend Goodwill to anybody who wants to find higher purpose in their life as well as employment opportunities. I know It will change your life because it has changed mine. I would nominate Ohio Valley Goodwill for an award for being such an outstanding agency.

I’m currently in job placement and am looking for a Customer Service Representative position. Thanks to Goodwill, I have a meaning and a sense of purpose in my life and I’m looking forward to my future, working with Goodwill and Hamilton County DD Services on advocating for people with disabilities."
