Training & Employment Project For Homeless Individuals Housing Assistance Project for Persons with Disabilities Hamilton County Community Housing Project (HAMCO)

Housing Assistance Project for Persons with Disabilities

The Housing Assistance Project for Persons with Disabilities is a HUD-funded program for individuals who are both homeless and who have a disability. The primary purpose of the project is to help eligible individuals within Hamilton County to locate permanent housing.

The following services are provided under this project:

• An assessment to determine the individual's housing needs, preferences, and financial resources.
• Rental assistance for security deposits and first month's rent;
• Financial assistance for the purchase of furniture, emergency food, transportation, and clothing;
• Individualized training sessions on such topics as money and time management, community living, health care, problem-solving, home maintenance, home safety and nutrition.
• Assistance with identifying and contacting other needed community services.
