Ohio Valley Goodwill Welcomes Sandusky Retail Director for Educational Visit!

Ohio Valley Goodwill was pleased to welcome Retail Director, Steve Timmerman, from Sandusky Goodwill to its corporate headquarters on Thursday, August 22nd and Friday, August 23rd as part of an educational visit to learn more about Cincinnati’s donation process. There are 16 Goodwill organizations throughout the State of Ohio and Ohio Valley Goodwill is one member of the Ohio Association of Goodwill Industries (OAGI) which offers educational support for partner organizations. “Goodwill organizations throughout the State are committed to best practices and providing mentoring when appropriate to other Goodwills,” said George Palmer, PR and Marketing Director. processed by Ohio Valley Goodwill, the recycling efforts of the organization, retail store operations as well as the impact on the individuals served by the Cincinnati Goodwill. “I really enjoyed my visit and found it very beneficial in terms of learning ways to help our local organization grow,” said Timmerman. Ohio Valley Goodwill Donations Supervisor, Vanessa Cornett, along with Retail Sales Manager, Ann Walters and team members Eric Scott and Jeff Eastham provided Timmerman with an extensive overview of the Cincinnati Goodwill operation and tips for expansion. Ohio Valley Goodwill in partnership with the other Ohio Goodwill organizations will be participating in the 2013 OAGI Conference in September to continue to learn and develop best practices for continuous improvement.
