Ohio Valley Goodwill Participates in Northgate Mall Donation Event!

Northgate LogoOhio Valley Goodwill Industries was delighted to partner with Northgate Mall and Clear Channel Media & Entertainment for the ” Spring Clean-Out Donation” event held at the mall on Colerain Avenue. Goodwill placed a donation trailer on-site at Northgate Mall for the Friday, May 9th thru Sunday, May 11th event to accept donations from the public. This is the third time that Ohio Valley Goodwill has held a donation drive at the Colerain Avenue mall. The public was encouraged to bring items from their home to help Goodwill with its very important mission to help people with disabilities and our nation’s veterans. Donations to Goodwill are very important as they are sold in Goodwill’s network of 15 Greater Cincinnati retail stores and generates income to help the organization with its programs and services. Last year (2103), Ohio Valley Goodwill assisted more than 3,100 individuals and placed 947 men and women into community employment.

” Ohio Valley Goodwill is always in need of donations of gently used clothing, household goods, children’s items, books, shoes and much more so that these items can be sold in our stores. The Northgate Mall donation event helps us to generate donations that assist us with the programs and services that we offer,” said George Palmer, Goodwill’s Director of Public Relations and Marketing. The Northgate event has been very successful in the past and offers the public an easy way to make donations. ” The Spring season is a wonderful time for the public to clean out their house and make donations to Ohio Valley Goodwill. The organization is always so appreciative of the contributions that we receive when we do these special donation drives,” added Palmer.

To make the Northgate Mall Spring donation event even more exciting, members of Clear Channel Media & Entertainment stations were on-site on Saturday, May 10th to promote the donation event and to meet the public. Radio personalities from WLW, 55KRC and WEBN were on hand to celebrate with free food and prizes to all those making donations on Saturday. ” We always appreciate the radio stations for coming to the donation event and to greet the public,” mentioned Kim Masters, Goodwill’s Transportation and media manager.
