Ohio Valley Goodwill Dancing Star Prepares for 2013 "Dancing for our Stars" Debut on November 16th!

Deb Gooch and Michael Johnson, Dancing Stars!

Ohio Valley Goodwill’s own dancing star, Michael Johnson, Job Coach Supervisor, is well on his way to perfecting his moves in partnership with fellow dancer, Deb Gooch, in preparation for their big debut at the 2013 “Dancing for our Stars” gala taking place on Saturday, November 16th. The 3rd annual event is being held in support of the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities and the thousands of individuals with disabilities that the organization serves. Ohio Valley Goodwill has worked in partnership with the Butler County Board for the past 10 years on providing a variety of services including personal enrichment through its CARE program, training and job placement services as well as coaching support. Goodwill offers services to Butler County residents through both its Fairfield Vocational Services Center as well as it’s corporate headquarters in the village of Woodlawn. Selected as the “Agency Provider of the Year” in 2011, Goodwill is proud of its on-going collaborative support of the Board and the individuals the Board serves. Both Michael and his dance partner have been participating in dance lessons provided by Doug Reynolds of Westside Ballroom in West Chester and thanks to his skilled instruction, the pair have put together a dance routine sure to impress everyone in attendance. Ohio Valley Goodwill is a Gold sponsor for this year’s event and is a long-time member of the planning committee for the third annual dancing gala. “Goodwill is very excited about the “Dancing for our Stars” event and our team is really looking forward to cheering for Michael and his partner,” said Aimee Rittner, Asst. Director of Community-Based Services. Tickets are still available for this year’s Dancing fund-raiser and can be reserved by going to www.citizenswithdisabilities.com. Michael and his partner are looking forward to the big event and your support as they prepare for their debut. Winners are chosen based on votes received. The dancing pair are competing with eight other couples the night of the gala and the winning couple is chosen based on the number of votes received- in some ways a popularity contest and Michael and Deb are determined to be the most popular couple there! To join Ohio Valley Goodwill at the Dancing event, reserve your ticket today at www.citizenswithdisabilities.com. Our best wishes to Michael and Deb for their upcoming dancing debut!
