Sponsored by the organization’s volunteer Service Guild and Food Services team under the direction of new Chef Francisco Lopez, the annual holiday luncheon was made even more special this year, by the occasion of the Goodwill’s 100th Anniversary of service. “The Service Guild is so pleased that we are able to offer this wonderful holiday signature event but this year, are especially excited that we have the opportunity to mark our 100th anniversary with all of the members of our team,” said Sue Burreson, Service Guild President. The holiday luncheon featured a choice of penne pasta with Italian sausage or chicken and broccoli Alfredo along with salad and dessert. The assembled guests also enjoyed the entertainment provided by local musician and long-time Goodwill volunteer, Mark Macomber.

More than 700 individuals participated in this year’s holiday luncheon event which is always highlighted by the singing and dancing of attendees as they joyfully chime in on their favorite Christmas carols. Held in the organization’s headquarters cafeteria and adjacent meeting rooms, the luncheon is prepared by Goodwill’s Food Services training team which pulls out all the stops to make sure that the meal is enjoyed by everyone in attendance. ” We really enjoy working together on this annual holiday event and this year’s is especially meaningful because it takes place during the final weeks of our year-long 100th anniversary celebration,” said Kelly Manns, Assistant Director of Training Services. ” It’s so great to see everyone celebrating together during the holiday season.”
