"Ohio Valley Goodwill Celebrates 10th Anniversary of Annual Golf Outing!"
Ohio Valley Goodwill was delighted to welcome a host of long-time sponsors, friends, and celebrities to its 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Goodwill Celebrity Golf Outing on Thursday, June 17th at the beautiful Shaker Run Golf Club. Sunny skies and big smiles heralded the start of a very succesful day of golf, networking and just plain fun. Golfers were enthusiastically greeted by volunteers from Goodwill’s CARE program as they arrived for registration and lunch. 2010 Co-hosts Joe Walter and Stephanie Mitchell welcomed everyone to the 10th Anniversary Celebration and guests were entertained by a video snapshot of the past 10 years of Goodwill golf outings before hitting the links.
A rousing day of golf featuring putting assistance provided by co-host Stephanie Mitchell and CARE volunteers ended with a sumptious dinner buffet and a formal 10th Anniversary sponsor recognition program. 2010 Sponsors included; Presenting Sponsors: MVD Communications and US Bank; Gold Sponsors: Frost Brown Todd, JOB Trailers, Rumpke and Riverpoint Capital Management; Beverage: Palmer Leasing; Signage: Holthaus Signs; Gift Sponsor: Tape Products; Hole-in-One: McCluskey Chevrolet; and Grill Station Sponsors: The Kroger Company, Reinhart FoodService, Ellenbee-Leggett, Premier Vending, 7-Up, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Klosterman’s Bakery, Restaurant Depot, and Chef Alison and Goodwill’s Food Services Team.
Guests were also treated to a special 10th Anniversary Celebration mission video featuring the story of 2010 co-host Stephanie Mitchell, which served to tell not only Stephanie’s story but also that of Goodwill. Celebrity co-host Joe Walter was also surprised by the showing of a video showcasing his own volunteer efforts on behalf of Ohio Valley Goodwill. Sponsor recognition and video tributes were then followed by this year’s contest winners and silent auction winner announcements. Long time friend of the organization and Superintendent of the Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services, Cheryl Phipps and Goodwill’s Kim Masters were both winners of the women’s longest drive and Darlene O’Hair of Goodwill scored big as the longest putt winner.
