Ohio Valley Goodwill was delighted to be an exhibitor for the 2009 Community Resource Information Fair held at Children’s Hospital on Monday June 1st. Along with more than 50 other service provider agencies, Goodwill staff provided information about the many skill training, job placement, recreational and transition planning services that the organization offers. Professionals, families and individuals were all interested to learn about the many options that are now available in the community, especially following graduation from school.

“We have been offering transition planning services for many years,” said Leslie McCurley, Senior Manager. “Early planning always helps to make the process easier and helps the student to experience more success,” added McCurley.

Saturday May 30^th was a fun filled day for Goodwill’s Loveland store when shoppers welcomed radio station B-105 for games, entertainment and free hot dogs and drinks in the spring sunshine.

Children also enjoyed balloon objects crafted by Checkerz the Clown and shoppers enjoyed the extra low prices that go with Goodwill’s famous half-off Saturday sales. Goodwill spokesperson and Board member Joe Walter was even on hand to meet and greet shoppers and families. “We’re always so happy to present these special radio remotes for our customers because it just adds such a fun atmosphere to the shopping experience,” said Ann Walters, Goodwill’s Sales Manager. Goodwill thanks B-105 for helping to share in such a greet day of shopping fun!
