Presidential Candidates’ Forum to address 40 million voters with disabilities

Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries in cooperation with the Ohio Association of Goodwill Industries (OAGI) is urging Presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain to support greater equality, access and opportunity for American workers with disabilities. McCain and Obama - who will be represented by Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) - are expected to present their plans for national disability policy on July 26 at the National Forum on Disability Issues in Columbus, OH. Goodwill Industries Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program Plans Stand Down Event

The Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP) of Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries plans a "stand down" event on Friday, April 11, 2008 at Mercy Franciscan at St. John to be held at 1800 Logan Street. The purpose of the event is to draw attention to the needs of homeless veterans and to offer a variety of services for these individuals. Activities will take place from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries Receives HUD Grant

Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries Rehabilitation Center, Inc., announces that it received two renewal grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for $465,586. to serve the needs of homeless individuals in the Greater Cincinnati area. Nationally the grants to 15 Goodwill's in the total of $4.8 million in funding were awarded under the Continuum of Care grant program, which enables networks of government entities, community groups and nonprofits to provide services that address homelessness at a local or regional level.
