Work Site Supports
Job Coaching

Work Site Support staff assists you in successfully maintaining your desired employment. We can provide support for you either at your job or away from the job while you adjust to the circumstance of your new job. Support from our staff that you may need or desire may include the following:

  • Short-term one-on-one supports on the job, working with you and your employer in order to assist with job training, understanding the rules and expectations of the workplace, and feeling comfortable within the culture of the workplace as well as reviewing necessary safety strategies within the work place.
  • Short-term away from the job supports, where our staff can meet with you outside of the workplace in order to assist with problem solving issues and strategies for you to be successful in your new employment.
  • Assistance in helping you to learn and become comfortable with how to utilize public transportation in order to get back and forth safely to your new job. The level of this support is individualized and dependent upon your particular needs and concerns.
  • Partnering in advocacy with you and your employer in exploring job accommodations in order for you to be a successful part of your employer's business.
  • For individuals sponsored by Mental Retardation & Developmental Disabilities Boards (MRDD), on-going supports can be provided several times each month for as long as you are employed. This can occur at the work-site, after work, or at your home. This service may be beneficial for you as work demands, schedules, and work supervisors or co-workers may change over time, and you may require more job training, advocacy, or general support through these times of change.

Everyone brings his/her own particular strengths, needs, and wishes to the challenge of employment and our staff is committed to working with you to address those challenges. Our staff bring over 20 years' combined experience providing these services to individuals and their employers. Ongoing evaluations of this service have Smilng Goodwill facesresulted in excellent reviews by both individuals we serve and their employers for our caring and conscientious approach in assisting you to be a successfully employed member of the community.
