Though Samantha Woolery has only been with Ohio Valley Goodwill for a little over a year, she has a big story to share… Samantha (known to her friends as "Sam"), attended Wright State University for many years, held several professional positions, is an active community volunteer and self-advocate and plays a very important role in the Goodwill organization.
Current chairperson for Goodwill's Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC), Sam is a major proponent for giving back to those in need. Sam and the CAC group recently successfully completed a canned food drive resulting in more than 840 lbs of goods being donated to local food banks.
"I am very committed to the volunteer work that I do for my church and also, my role as chairperson for Goodwill's self-advocacy group, CAC. I think anything that you can do to make life better for everyone is important," explains Sam.
Please take a moment and read all about Sam's fascinating story in our Work Adjustment showcase for 2008. Congratulations to Sam for her hard work on behalf of herself and others!
