Goodwill Welcomes Representative Paul Zeltwanger For a Tour of Corporate Facility

ZeltwangerOn Thursday, April 23rd, Ohio Valley Goodwill was pleased to welcome State Representative Paul Zeltwanger for a tour of the corporate facility. Representative Zeltwanger represents the 54th District which includes Warren County and portions of Butler County in Ohio. Representative Zeltwanger’s areas of interest include: armed services and veterans affairs, economic and workforce development, agriculture and rural development and public safety. Representative Zeltwanger was first elected in 2014.

During his tour of the Goodwill facility, Representative Zeltwanger was particularly interested in the organization’s dormitory which houses transitional veterans. The dormitory program offers housing, job training opportunities and support services for homeless veterans. Ohio Valley Goodwill has been involved in services for veterans especially those that are homeless and in need of services since 1992. The Representative was enthused to learn about the services that Goodwill provides for all veterans. He was also impressed with the other vocational training programs that Ohio Valley Goodwill offers for individuals in Greater Cincinnati. Of particular interest to the Representative was Goodwill’s award-winning CARE program with offers both personal development and work choice offerings for almost 70 individuals.

For nearly 100 years, Ohio Valley Goodwill has been providing skill training, employment and personal enrichment programs for men and women with disabilities, veterans, and at-risk youth. Each year, Goodwill serves more than 3,400 people and last year (2014) helped 913 to get jobs in the Greater Cincinnati community. Donations to Ohio Valley Goodwill have made this mission of service possible.

Ohio Valley appreciated the time that Representative Zeltwanger spent at the corporate facility and looks forward to his continued involvement with the organization.
