Goodwill Welcomes New Community Donation Drive Partners For Spring Clean Out Events!

WGRR Yard SaleSpring has Sprung and the great news is Ohio Valley Goodwill is working with lots of new community partners to help Greater Cincinnatians Spring Clean and recycle responsibly at the same time. Goodwill is getting ready for a host of community donation drives taking place on April 25th, April 26th, May 15th-17th and finally on June 17th. The WGRR Yard Sale is taking place at Riverbend on Saturday April 25th; the 2nd annual Earth Day Electronics Donation Drive on Sunday, April 26th and for the first time ever, the big “Spring Clean Out for Goodwill” event at Rookwood Commons May 15 through 17th. These major community donation events in May will be followed by the new “Purses 4 a Purpose” event which is scheduled for June 17th. Purses 4 a Purpose will benefit the Aubrey Rose Foundation as well as Ohio Valley Goodwill.

On Sunday, April 26th, for the second year in a row, Ohio Valley Goodwill will be hosting an Earth Day Electronic Recycling Celebration. From 11am until 5pm, donations of computers, laptops, keyboards, monitors and other electronic equipment will be gratefully accepted at ALL 29 Goodwill Donation locations! Working in partnership with Global Environmental Services (GES); an e-steward certified recycling vendor; Goodwill is hoping to collect 60,000 lbs. of donations in this year’s drive.

The new “Spring Clean Out for Goodwill” event at Rookwood Commons will offer a 3 day opportunity for donors to de-clutter their homes and bring their unwanted stuff to the Goodwill Donation Trailer which will be conveniently located  in the Rookwood parking lot. Donors will enjoy not only a very sincere thank you from the Goodwill team but also the opportunity to meet local radio personalities 55KRC host Brian Thomas, KISS DJ D-Lo, and WLW personality, Scott Sloan who will be on-hand to lend their support. The Spring Clean event will be held 9am-9pm on Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16 and on Sunday, May 17 from 9am-6pm. The 2015 Purses 4 a Purpose event will take place on Wednesday, June 17th at Covington Catholic High School and Ohio Valley Goodwill is excited to not only support the Aubrey Rose Foundation but to host a community donation drive during the event that evening.
