Ohio Valley Goodwill is excited to announce the recent expansion of its e-Commerce program which now includes: Barnes and Noble, the Half.com, e-Bay, Amazon and Shopgoodwill. Products that are being sold via these digital marketplaces encompass everything from text-books, to “beach reads” and everything in between as well as DVD’s, music, software, games. On Shopgoodwill, unique finds are featured including vintage items, collectibles, unusual treasures as well as rare, one-of-a-kind surprises.

e-Commerce supervisor, Vanessa Cornett, explains that in the Goodwill e-commerce library, more than 22,000 books are available for purchase and up to 60 new listings on Shopgoodwill each week. “The popularity of our e-Commerce program is growing rapidly- we now send out anywhere from 1,000 to 1,200 items weekly. The best part is, we know our customers are getting the lowest prices on the Internet,” said Cornett. When purchases are made on e-Bay, purchasers can choose to also make a financial donation to Goodwill above the amount of their purchase.

Goodwill’s e-Commerce is just another business-related enterprise that the organization uses as a means to provide funding for and build awareness of its true mission of helping people with disabilities and our nation’s veterans to go to work in the community.
