What to Donate

Representative merchandise shown

Goodwill's Attended Donation Centers accept the following items:
  • Clothing
  • Linens
  • Household items
  • Small Appliances
  • Electronics
  • Furniture
  • Books/Records/Tapes
  • Accessories/Jewelry
  • Shoes

Please note that we no longer accept donations of mattresses and box springs.

There are some items that are large, awkward, or unsafe to have donated at Attended Donation Centers. If possible, we ask that these items be donated at a Goodwill store during store hours.

We accept large appliances if they are in good working order, do not need any repairs and are clean. We don't take large appliances at our Montgomery location. We do not accept tires, shelving, wall to wall carpeting, swing sets, lockers, awnings and doors.

Goodwill appreciates all donations; however, at times we may not accept an item due to its condition, or more often, due to EPA regulations that require special handling and processing. Costs associated with disposing of severely damaged items or items which require special handling to meet EPA regulations, i.e. removing freon from refrigerators can be substantial and reduce financial support for our service programs.

When in doubt about a donation, call (513) 771-4800, extensions 6260, 6211 or 6273.
