The Donation Cycle

Donating and shopping supports programs, services and employment!

Your donations are used to help support Goodwill's mission. All donations are processed at our main plant in Woodlawn or at one of our store locations. During processing, donations are sorted to select items to be shipped to and sold at the stores.

Items deemed not salable in our stores or items that did not sell at a store are sold at our bi-weekly auctions or through secondary markets. The vast majority of all donated goods are resold, in some way, generating financial support for our rehabilitation services.
